Driver can carry e-licence issued by Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) will be enough to drive his or her car on the road instead of a physical driving license. BRTA has announced about this e-license system through a revised notice issued by the Deputy Secretary of the BRTA Establishment Branch last week.
Its an automated process. An user will be issued with an e-license whenever he applies for a physical license and completes all the formal procedures including a vehicle driving test. The e-license of the user will be available at BRTA portal. He can carry it in his phone as a digital copy of his driving license which is directly connected to the BRTA server. This digital license will not just make you pass the road from the traffic police check but also from the hassle of carrying a physical document. You will be able to use it also in making visa, bank, and passport offices. Overall, a great relief for the vehicle drivers who often forget to carry their physical license and are charged fines by the traffic police.
